Description

Unique variation of the Shimano AX bottle, this ‘clamshell’ enables the bottle body to be easily 3D printed into a carry case.  The clamshell can be used to carry spares, nutrition or a tube in a rag.  The clamshell hold together using friction with the screw cap as a lock. It isn’t perfect, but it is pretty cool as a modern take.

These are ‘.STL’ files, digital 3d models of the original Shimano AX bottle and nozzle parts.

Professionally scanned by a specialist that works with high-end engineering firms (F1, aerospace).
I had these made to explore the potential to 3D parts, not a bottle to actually drink from, just to complete the look on your bike or to replace missing or damaged parts.

As far as I know, it is not currently possible to print a bottle in suitable material to use directly or as a perfect match to the original.

Of course, as technology develops or if you have access to suitable equipment, you can use the files as a basis for other methods of manufacture.

The files are very large and sent via file-sharing services within 24hrs of your order.
No guarantee given for the files, or any products made from them – please treat this as experimental work used at your own risk and for your own requirements (not commercial application).
